Volunteer for our Safe at Home Program

You can make an immediate difference for a senior or individual living with a disability by volunteering for our Safe at Home Program!

This program provides minor home safety or accessibility modifications (grab bars, handrails, and much more). Volunteer projects are small-scale and can be completed by two to four volunteers in one day.

Handy-person and light carpentry skills are preferred, but many tasks can be learned through training and experience with on-site installation.

If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Tom at tom@rtmn.org!

Welcome Sharlett Glidden to the Team

We are thrilled to welcome Sharlett Glidden to the Rebuilding Together Minnesota Team as an AmeriCorps Project Coordinator in Southwest Minnesota!

Sharlett was born in Jamaica and lived there for 15 years before coming to Minnesota. She wrote, “I am honored for the opportunity of becoming a member of AmeriCorps…I have spent my adult life so far serving in the non-profit world, which fuels my passion for helping people at the disadvantage of not being able to help themselves. I am a mother of a little girl who cartwheels in spaces that one may find impossible to perform a cartwheel and employed full-time worker.  Some of the things that bring me joy are shopping, eating, helping others, and traveling. My goal is to use my skills to serve honorably and humbly with AmeriCorps.”

Welcome to the Team Sharlett!

Big Thanks to Wells Fargo!

We would like to send a special thank you to Wells Fargo, who has provided both funding and volunteers for many years! Since 2009, Wells Fargo has donated more than $790,000 to support our vision of ensuring that everyone in our community has a safe and healthy home.

This year, Wells Fargo provided us with a grant for $80,000 to assist nine low-income homeowners in the Twin Cities and Southwest Minnesota. Thank you!
